Oh boy, it's been over a week since I last had time to write something down... Got to keep this in mind more often. Anyway, my boss called me the other day and told that I may still have a job for this summer. Not a bad thing. :)
Been meaning to take some photographs and play with them but studying really takes some serious time. :( Perhaps some of you will have some ideas I can carry out?
Also, I thought it would be nice to share some of the techniques I'm experimenting on. This clip is basically the idea behind the first Dave Hill -esque photograph on this blog. Hope you enjoy. :)

A pleasant morning
Oh dear oh dear... Found out today that my job for this summer is not so certain as I thought it was. In other words, unemployment awaits in a few months with a nice heap of debt already in. Really stressful times. Pictured below is my facial expression after having read today's mail.
Really hard to take it slow when news like this pour in. How do you all manage to not stress yourself too much?

Moving slowly towards a new week
This far I've shared some of my music taste and ideas for photography so maybe it's time to get into the slow lifestyle. I really couldn't say it better myself so this one is straight from http://slowdownnow.org/.
"There are those who urge us to speed. We resist!
"There are those who urge us to speed. We resist!
We shall not flag or fail. We shall slow down in the office, and on the roads. We shall slow down with growing confidence when all those around us are in a shrill state of hyperactivity (signifying nothing). We shall defend our state of calm, whatever the cost may be. We shall slow down in the fields and in the streets, we shall slow down in the hills, we shall never surrender!
If you can slow down when all around you are speeding up, then you're one of us. Be proud that you are one of us and not one of them. For they are fast, and we are slow. If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing slowly. Some are born to slowness—others have it thrust upon them. And still others know that lying in bed with a morning cup of tea is the supreme state for mankind."
That really sums up my feelings for today. :) What's your take on a slow lifestyle?

Oops there was supposed to be a headline here :)
Ok so, this is like, my first post, right? I will disregard some of the things I have in mind concerning slow lifestyle and instead share this example of the fruits of my inspiration:
I have been very impressed with the nice work of one Dave Hill and sometimes try to recreate the same atmosphere in my own work as an amateur. You actually can not forget his portraits once you've seen them - the visual impact is very strong. Also, you can not ignore the post processing he achieves when working with the photographs. I've also read that some of this look is actually done with flashes (?!). Well, this is why it's called "The Dave Hill Look". Pictured below is the original source I found for this example (Arvind Balaraman via FreeDigitalPhotos.net).
